Nurses at Meadville Medical Center provide outstanding, quality care to all of our patients, who are often our own family, friends and neighbors. Our nursing staff is comprised of compassionate professionals who provide exceptional care based on the highest clinical standards.
A holistic approach to care is is promoted from the system’s Chief Nurse Executive, Valerie Waid:
We understand that no one plans on being sick. Having to be hospitalized can be an extremely stressful event for patients and their loved ones. Our team is here to help. By not simply focusing on a particular ailment, but rather the whole person, we want to make sure the individual receives all the resources they need to have the best possible long-term outcomes.
Nurses at Meadville Medical Center are encouraged to advance their clinical knowledge by attending national conferences, obtain advanced degrees, and become certified in their area of expertise. Through a variety of councils, front line nurses have the ability to make meaningful changes to patient care.
